What are the proportions of 2/3 and 3/4 for photo prints?

The proportion come from the calculation of the width x length. Digital cameras record mainly pictures having 10x13,5 cm dimensions (proportion 3/4) that do not correspond to the printing format of 10x15 cm (proportion 2/3), which is the format you are normally used to.

To choose the right dimensions is then not easy. Several solutions are offered to you: the majority of the laboratories print only 10x13,5 cm photos.

For prints 10x15 cm Foto.com has 2 options:
a) white borders will appear on two sides of the print if the image does not exactly match the aspect ratio of the print size being ordered when choosing Resize option fit.
b) the image is cropped to fit the paper on which it is printed by choosing Resize option fill.
